Clari Ribeiro is a director, editor, and visual artist. Their new fantasy thriller short film, “If I’m Here, It is By Mystery,” premieres at IFFR 2024. In 2021, they received the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for their performance in the film “A Wild Patience Has Taken Me Here” (2021), of which they are the editor as well. They also directed and edited “Desire-Power House Against the Industry of Fear,” an interactive fictional piece with 3 alternative endings. Among their notable works are “X-MANAS” (2017), an experimental queer dystopia, and “The Flesh is Kiss and the Reverse Water” (2019), a video installation merging analog photography, and noise music. Clari experiments with languages and merges genres, creating unconventional narratives and fabulous characters.
