Oscar is a director from Bergen, Norway who started his film career filming skateboarding and making humoristic videos about high schools in Bergen. In 2018 he graduated from Central Film School in London as Best director, Filmmaker of the year and won Best film at the graduation ceremony for his work. He then worked as a sound recordist for a year before returning to Bergen. In 2021 he started working as a director together with producer Ole Marius Elvestad, in På Film, directing commercials and being a director’s assistant for the feature film Victoria must go, by Gunnbjörg Gunnarsdóttir. With his debut short film, Her name is Ida, Oscar wants to challenge the sometimes dark consequences of being a young man in a perfectly safe environment, questioning our sense of responsibility.
