Miguel Alcalde holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as a Master’s Degree in Film Directing at ESCAC. In 2019 he took the film scriptwriting course at the Showrunners school in Barcelona. His feature film script “El camino de ida” was chosen by Filmarkethub as the best project of his promotion and was one of the finalists of the Mallorca Talent Lab 2020 organized by Atlàntida Film Fest and Filmin. He works as a filmmaker for Caballo Films, the production company behind Rodrigo Sorogoyen’s movies. There, he has made the making of for “Riot Police”, “La Ruta”, “The Beasts” and “The new years”. “Guille, 28” is his fifth short film as a director, after “AaMamá”, “One Minute”, “5:15” and “The last day”.
