I’m a scriptwriter and filmmaker. I wrote my first short story when I was just six years old and called it: “Travelling to space in a washing machine”. I couldn’t get any editors interested, but my aunts liked it. After graduating in audiovisuals and getting a master’s degree in scriptwriting, I began to film shorts: “Laura’s Slippers”, “Breakfast at Enrique’s”, “Bikini” and “Apollo81”. These have been screened all over the world and have won 160 awards, a Goya candidature and the Meliés D’Or nomination. “Stanbrook”, is my last fiction shortfilm. I’ve written and directed the TV series “The Outsider” (fiction) and three seasons of “Cooks” (non-fiction). Also, I’ve written and directed the documentaries “The man who bottled the sun”, “Here comes the sun” “Looking for the balance” and “The ones who search”. This last film talks about children and mothers victims of stolen babies plot. In this film we’re left pending to approach the rejection suffered by some people who search. This is the origin of “The Desired One”, my first documentary short film.
