Jon Maya Sein is the director, dancer and choreographer of Kukai Dantza. He formed this company in 2002, with the idea of promoting contemporary creation based on traditional Basque dance. Since then, he has created numerous choreographic and audiovisual projects such as Erritu, Oskara, Gelajauziak and Hnuy illa, all of them winners of various MAX Awards for the Performing Arts. He regularly collaborates with other successful artists, such as Marcos Morau, Sharon Fridman, Israel Galván or Cesc Gelabert.
