Tota Alves is 33 years old and was born in a suburb of Porto. She discovered her passion for writing and directing films at the age of 28, after studying History and working as a cook, a cleaning lady and a clothing salesperson. She created and directed two miniseries for the Portuguese broadcaster, My Own Blood (2020) and Dolores (2020), and makes her debut in cinema with the film We Made a Film (2024).
