Maira, a fifty-year-old farmer, fights with her veterinarian. They have been on the verge of sacrificing their sick horse but Maira has become unhappy. He doesn’t see it clearly. Thus, Maira goes through a moment of doubt and, while she questions whether sacrificing the horse is the best option, she struggles to carry out farm tasks in the midst of menopause. Hot flashes and irritability take over her as she battles against the dryness of the fields and the horse’s illness.
